Fathers Day – Five NYC Breweries we are loving right now

We’ve rounded up five of our favorite NYC breweries so you can get your dad what he really wants this Father’s Day: a beer.

We listed a little information about the brewery, a couple of things they have currently on tap and options Brunetti’s has in house for pick up or delivery. Enjoy!

  1. Five Boroughs Brewing Co (Sunset Park, Brooklyn)

Five Boroughs Brewing Co is known for creating incredible but approachable beers, focusing on lagers, American ales, and mixed culture beers. Five Boroughs is offering curbside pick-up daily 12pm-6pm and shipping within NY state. They’re currently offering a selection 10 different beers for you to enjoy at home, each sold as either a 4- or 6-pack. Options range from the known-and-loved Tiny Juicy IPA (Which we rotate on tap), to the summery Sunset Shandy Lemonade, to 45th Street—a dark imperial stout conditioned on Irving Farm single origin coffee.

“Tiny Juicy” – Mosaic, Simcoe, and Cascade hops pack a fruity and piney punch, balanced by an abundant base of flaked oats. A juicy and exceedingly drinkable beer. MALT 2-ROW, WHEAT, FLAKED OATS  ABV – 4.2% IBU45

“Magnetic Compass” – An IPA with oats that prominently features New Zealand Rakau hops, bringing a unique mix of candied orchard fruit, stone fruit, and tropical aromas to mingle with some light, funky elements. With background notes of Citra, Mosaic, and Columbus hops as well, this IPA is both hazy and juicy.  ABV – 6.4%

  1. Long Island City Beer Project (Long Island City)

Free local delivery, delivery to Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan, shipping available in NY State

M-F 4pm-11pm, Sat 12pm-12am, Sun 12pm-10pm

Long Island City Beer Project believes beer is a collaborative experience, and we think that makes it the perfect Father’s Day Gift. Choose from this LIC brewery’s 6 beers to gift your dad; we especially recommend the Regicide Imperial Stout (described as a “dark chocolate hazelnut bar in a glass”), or the Vice Berliner Weisse, conditioned on cranberry, lime, and mint, which pairs perfectly with a relaxing Fathers Day spent in the sun.

“Higher Burnin” – This IPA is brewed in celebration of the late 5 Pointz, NYC’s graffiti mecca. Crafted with late additions of Belma, El Dorado, and Mosaic hops, this IPA is hazy bright orange in color with aromatics of juicy fruit, strawberry, and nectarine. Orange marmalade and candied citrus flavors emerge followed by a subtle piney bitterness, and medium body. ABV – 7%

“Logical Conclusion” – A hoppy American IPA made with Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic hops. A well-balanced beer with flavor notes of ripe peach, gushers, fluffy wheat, coniferous, and white minerals, this IPA is fruity and woodsy all at once.  ABV – 7%

  1. Stillwater Artisanal (Various)

Stillwater Artisanal is a nomadic brewery, meaning they don’t have a brewing facility, but rather the brewer travels to existing breweries to produce Stillwater’s beer. This results in new, unique, complex batches of beer every cycle, created by the brewery’s founder/mad scientist, Brian Strumke, a former DJ and music producer.

Brunetti’s Serves

“Extra Dry” – Brewed with rice, this beer is designed to mimic the subtle and drinkable flavors of sake. This low-alcohol saison is the softer side of Stillwater, and highly drinkable. ABV – 3.8%
