Tony Tantillo of CBS 2 News in New York stopped by Pizzetteria Brunetti in the West Village last week to be featured on this morning’s Dining Deals segment. With the restaurant all decked out in holiday cheer, Tony sat down with Jason “Sonny” Brunetti to talk about what makes their Neapolitan pizza the best in New York City.
“To me this is pizza perfection,” Tony begins. “A fiery hot wood-burning oven with pies crisped to perfection. And see the happy faces here at Pizzetteria Brunetti on Hudson Street, it seems everyone agrees.” While enjoying his Vongole Pizza with fresh-shucked Long Island clams, Tony and Sonny talked shop and indulged in other favorite dishes like octopus, salads, and more with Tony saying “these tasty salads should not be missed.”
“We have a constant of 18 pizzas that we keep on the menu, and then we experiment and come up with new ones,” Sonny said in the conversation with Tony about the menu. “One of my favorite pizzas, at $20 it’s worth every bite,” Tony said of the Vongole. The segment ends with Tony saying “The food is clean and delicious.”
